Advising PREMIUM Equity Partners on the acquisition of a majority stake in Clarus Films group

With a team led by Frankfurt-based partner Thomas K. Schrell, business law firm Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek advised funds advised by PREMIUM Equity Partners on financing the acquisition of a majority stake in Clarus Films group. The acquisition loan was structured as unitranche financing and arranged by Crescent Capital.

With some 60 employees and annual sales of close to EUR 60 million, Clarus Films, headquartered in Dietzenbach near Frankfurt, is the leading independent service provider for packaging films and laminating films. Currently, the recyclable films are mainly being sold in German-speaking countries, with sales at the European level to be expanded through targeted acquisitions in the coming years.
