Unless otherwise specified, all German lawyers are admitted as lawyers (Rechtsanwälte) in the Federal Republic of Germany and are members of the bars (Rechtsanwaltskammern) of their office locations. The following links contain the addresses of the competent bars.

Notaries public

Some of the lawyers at our Berlin and Frankfurt am Main offices are also civil law notaries; although appointed as notaries in the Federal Republic of Germany, the notaries based in Berlin are practicing exclusively in Berlin and the notary based in Frankfurt am Main is practicing exclusively in the district of Frankfurt am Main Local Court.

The competent supervisory authorities for notaries based in Berlin are the Senate Department for Justice and Consumer Protection, Salzburger Str. 21-25, 10825 Berlin, and the President of the Berlin Regional Court II, Littenstraße 12-17, 10179 Berlin. The President of the Court of Appeal, Elßholzstraße 30-33, 10781 Berlin, acts as the judicial supervisory authority. The competent supervisory authority for the notary practicing in Frankfurt am Main is the President of Frankfurt am Main Regional Court, Gerichtsstraße 2, 60313 Frankfurt am Main.

European Patent Attorney / Professional Representative before the EPO

A member of the law firm based in Düsseldorf is a professional representative before the European Patent Office (European Patent Attorney).
