HEUKING maintains revenue above EUR 200 million

Leading business law firm HEUKING generated EUR 201.8 million in revenue for the 2024 fiscal year, surpassing the EUR 200 million threshold for the second consecutive year. Despite a slight 1.6% decrease compared to its record-breaking 2023 revenue of EUR 205.1 million, HEUKING remains on a strong financial trajectory.

Revenue per professional, a key indicator of the firm’s profitability, remained above EUR 500,000, slightly below the previous year’s figure. Meanwhile, the total number of full-time professionals grew moderately by 3.5% compared to the prior year, with HEUKING employing the equivalent of 403.10 lawyers in 2024.

“We are pleased with our stable revenue in these challenging times,” said Prof. Martin Reufels, Managing Partner at HEUKING. “Our expansion in personnel provides a strong foundation for further growth in key legal areas and forward-looking advisory fields in the coming years,” added Boris Dürr and Dr. Philip Kempermann, the firm’s two other Managing Partners.

Throughout 2024, HEUKING significantly expanded its team, welcoming many new lawyers. Alongside an increase in young legal talent, the firm also grew its partnership. At the start of 2024, HEUKING promoted four lawyers from within to the equity partnership and seven to the salaried partnership. Additionally, Dr. André Hofmann, a lateral hire at Partner level, as well as Michael Auer and Dr. Timo U. Piller, both Salaried Partners, joined the firm.

The firm’s growth trajectory remains strong. At the beginning of 2025, 16 HEUKING lawyers advanced in their careers, with five Salaried Partners being elevated to the equity partnership. Moreover, four Salaried Partners were recruited from other law firms. Further reinforcing HEUKING’s position, Dr. Andreas Meyer will join as Senior Counsel, while Ulrich Weidemann will become an Equity Partner in the Frankfurt office on April 1.
