International advice: Heuking establishes Russian / CIS Desk
Business law firm Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek expands its international legal advisory spectrum by establishing a Russian / CIS Desk. One highlight of the desk is that its members are lawyers admitted to the bar in Germany, all of whom are Russian native speakers and some of whom possess dual legal qualifications through completion of law studies not only in Germany, but also in Russia, Kazakhstan or Belarus. These additional expertise as well as their respective cultural backgrounds enable the team to offer effective tailor-made solutions for complex transactions and cross-border ventures in all areas of business law with a focus on a full-service approach, inter alia, advising clients consistently in the Russian language.
In addition to having access to over 400 lawyers, tax advisors and notaries specialized in the field from Heuking, the team has access to an extensive network of experts throughout Eurasia and cooperates with renowned local business law firms.
Working languages are German, Russian, and English.
"Germany is the second largest trading partner for Russia after China. This offers numerous opportunities for successful cross-border cooperation for our clients," says Anna Richter, LL.M., attorney at the Cologne office and member of the Russian / CIS Desk. "Many companies are forced by the development of the global economy to seek new markets for their products and new territories for further development. We are pleased to be able to offer our clients a central point of contact for the support of all Russia /CIS related issues and a bridgehead function "between the worlds" in the future."
