Start-up Week with a twist: Heuking offers young founders digital information
Attendees visible in small images on the laptop, the lecture heard over headphones, and questions appearing in the chat function – Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek’s fifth Start-up Week was held in entirely digital form from September 11 to 18, 2020. Despite the special situation, numerous young entrepreneurs took advantage of the diverse concept and attended the Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek workshops.
Unlike in previous years, the workshops were not held on the Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek premises as usual, but as a digital webinar series entitled “Recht Klar und Sicher.”
About 30 young founders per workshop attended various events on the topics of corporate law, tax law, e-commerce and data protection, and IP/IT to learn from Dr. Kirsten Thiergart, Astrid Luedtke, and Jörn Matuszewski about potential “stumbling blocks” that should be avoided by start-ups. The consistently positive feedback showed that the switch to digital lecture events worked really well. The chat function was well received and lively discussions were held.
Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek is a partner of STARTPLATZ Düsseldorf and supports young entrepreneurs in avoiding “classic mistakes” even before establishing their businesses allowing them to get start their ventures in a legally compliant manner.
Even beyond the Start-up Week, Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek offers young entrepreneurs free consultation hours on a regular basis, every first and third Wednesday of a month, at the offices of STARTPLATZ in Düsseldorf harbor. Dr. Thiergart, who is heading the project, is the person to contact.
We look forward to welcoming you again next year, hopefully in person at our offices.
