WirtschaftsWoche: Dr. André-M. Szesny among the top lawyers for compliance
According to WirtschaftsWoche, Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek is once again one of the top law firms in compliance. A specialist jury again recognized Dr. André-M. Szesny, partner of the law firm, as a top lawyer for compliance in the ranking.
"Receiving the award again is a recognition of the excellent work of our practice group. We are working very day to ensure that managers and companies are sensitized to the issue of compliance. Our pragmatic and goal-oriented advice is bearing fruit. Risks are immense, and we are doing everything we can to assist our clients in effectively preventing civil liability, criminal prosecution, and sanctions," said Szesny.
The ranking was established from a peer group survey of 444 compliance lawyers conducted by Handelsblatt Research Institute (HRI). All compliance lawyers were submitted for assessment. The resulting list of 90 lawyers was reviewed by a jury consisting of senior corporate counsel for compliance – Christoph Klahold (thyssenkrupp AG), Manuela Mackert (Deutsche Telekom AG), and Dietmar Will (Audi AG). The Head of Magazines of publishing house C.H. Beck, Achim Schunder, and Silvio Fricke from the Federal Association of Corporate Employment Lawyers were also members of the jury. Only 24 law firms with 31 leading experts ended up being included in the ranking. The ranking serves as a guide to finding the right advisor to avoid criminal offenses and other liability cases.
