Advice to Stadtwerke Stuttgart GmbH on the acquisition of another wind farm

Stadtwerke Stuttgart acquired a wind farm in Schwanfeld, Bavaria (Schweinfurt district), consisting of five wind energy systems, from ABO Wind AG. Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek advised the public utility company comprehensively on the deal. Following the acquisition of Everswinkel wind farm, on which Stadtwerke Stuttgart was also advised by Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek, Schwanfeld wind farm is already the second wind farm acquired by Stadtwerke Stuttgart.

Schwanfeld wind farm developed and constructed by ABO Wind AG is to connect to the grid by year's end. The five wind energy systems by manufacturer Nordex have a total output of 12 megawatts and jointly supply more than 10,000 households. Stadtwerke Stuttgart is investing about EUR 23 million overall.

Stadtwerke Stuttgart is a provider for ecologically generated energy and biogas in Baden-Wuerttemberg's capital city of Stuttgart. The municipal company supplies its customers with energy and is also actively advancing the local energy turnaround: Until 2020 alone, the public utility company will invest EUR 800 million into renewable energies.
