Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek advises Eifel district Bitburg-Prüm

Dr. Stephan Witteler, Partner, Markus Lennartz, Salaried Partner, Christine Grau and Christian Miercke, Lawyers, all at the business law firm Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek’s Frankfurt office, advised the Eifel district of Bitburg-Prüm in particular on matters of State aid law, public procurement law, and communal services law in connection with expanding the district's broadband infrastructure. The team led by Dr. Stephan Witteler accompanied the invitation to bid for the awarding of funds in the form of investment aid by the public sector, in order to provide NGA broadband to the currently underserved areas of the district.
 
Eifel district Bitburg-Prüm is located in the extreme west of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate and is bordered by the Kingdom of Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxemburg. It is Rhineland-Palatinate's largest but least populated district, while comprising the most municipalities in Germany. Bitburg is the district's administrative center and its most populous city. Extending across an area of 1,626 square kilometers and with a population of some 96,000, the district comprises 235 municipalities.
