Pandemic-compatible cash register systems for Hamburg’s museums
The contact restrictions of the pandemic also pose new challenges for museum access systems. While visitors previously simply used to buy a ticket, time quotas must now be established and access restrictions enforced. Local cash register systems need to be linked to Internet sales to control the flow of visitors. Contactless payment and appropriate proof of access will become the standard.
Against this backdrop, State museums have decided to pool their needs and jointly issued an invitation to bid on a modern system. In a Europe-wide negotiation procedure, the offers of the main system suppliers were compared and prices and equipment features negotiated. Dresden-based Combase AG was finally awarded the contract.
