Schloss Altenburg
We acted as legal advisors to our client during the purchasing, leasing, and further use of the prestigious Schloss Altenburg by a non-commercial association. This involved extensive negotiations with the parish that was selling the property and the new users, besides drawing up and finalizing the contract for sale and contract for tenancy.
In the context of the further use of the property, we also advised on legal issues relating to the commissioning of architects and building works and to questions of public law and law governing charitable bodies. The particular nature of this mandate lay in the specific constellation of the parish which was selling the property and the later user – a benevolent association –, the specific purpose of the acquisition, and the resultant legal, organizational, and personal imperatives.
