CAM-CCBC Hanseatic Premoot: International student competition held at Hamburg office
For the third time, the CAM-CCBC Hanseatic Premoot will be held in Hamburg on April 10, 2019. 32 teams from all over the world will compete against each other in 14 Hamburg law firms. In the offices of Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek, law students are also preparing for the “Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court (Vis Moot)” international student competition that will be held in Vienna. The teams compete in simulated arbitration proceedings, making their pleas to the experts. In Hamburg, the arbitrators are lawyers of the participating law firms, members of Hamburg Arbitration Circle e.V., and external arbitrators. The final event will be an evening reception at the Heuking offices.
The third CAM-CCBC Hanseatic Pre-Moot is preceded by the International Arbitration Day organized by Bucerius Law School on April 9, 2019. The conference will be held at Bucerius Law School and is also sponsored by Heuking.
The Willem C. Vis Moot is one of the world’s largest student competitions and deals procedurally with arbitration law, substantively with the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The participating teams draft written submissions as representatives of plaintiffs and defendants on the basis of realistic facts and prepare pleadings. The entire competition will be conducted in English.
