Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek advises BAWOAG on the largest single acquisition in its corporate history
A team led by Dr. Frank Baßler, Partner at Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek’s Stuttgart office, successfully advised WW Barrierefreies Wohnen GmbH & Co. KG aA (BAWOAG) on the acquisition of a property at Lake Seilersee in Iserlohn from Wohninvest group in an asset deal. The site extends over 50,000 square meters and comprises a four-star hotel, a multi-story parking lot, residential buildings, office buildings, several riding halls, stables, and development areas. The transaction represents BAWOAG’s largest single acquisition in its corporate history. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
In close cooperation with the City of Iserlohn and Gesellschaft für Wirtschaftsförderung Iserlohn mbH (GfW), BAWOAG intends to build commercial, retail, and office space, social housing, student apartments, and educational facilities on the site.
Bochum-based BAWOAG has primarily been investing in the Ruhr metropolitan region since 2010 and plans to expand its portfolio in the coming years and to continue its expansion by acquiring additional properties in the region.
