Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek celebrating new stadium in Essen

Last weekend, the new stadium in Essen officially opened its doors for spectators. Not only the fans of local soccer team Rot-Weiß Essen are impressed. The City and the advisors are likewise satisfied. The stadium was completed on schedule and within budget. It will also be used for various events and concerts.
 
City-owned GVE had awarded the contracts for construction of the stadium with a capacity of about 20,000 in more than 15 Europe-wide award procedures. Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek advised in all stages from designing the procedures to awarding and implementing the contracts. Dr. Ute Jasper, Partner, and Jens Biemann, Lawyer at Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek, handled the project. In the past, the Düsseldorf-based team led by Dr. Ute Jasper had already successfully advised on several outstanding stadium projects, such as the new Tivoli in Aachen or the modern main seating section in Kassel.
