Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek is a founding member of the association "Businesses for a cosmopolitan Saxony"
The association "Businesses for a cosmopolitan Saxony" was founded at the end of June. As one of ten founding members, Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek substantially supported its establishment. Annemarie Rott, Partner at the business law firm's Chemnitz office, drafted the articles of association for "Wirtschaft für ein weltoffenes Sachsen e.V." Initiated and supported by the business community, the campaign aims to promote tolerance in Saxony and counteract further erosion of the state's reputation as a result of xenophobia.
For Saxon businesses, anti-immigrant and xenophobic attacks constitute a threat to the economy. As a consequence, it has turned out to be more difficult to recruit international experts and led to loss in trust and declining sales to national and international customers. The association would like to highlight these hazards and affirm its commitment to cosmopolitanism with an expanding network. "It is our objective to improve Saxony's image and to contribute to the integration of immigrants in the economy," said Annemarie Rott. Founded in Dresden, the association has been established for an indefinite period of time and is open to active members from business, politics, and society.
