India Business Law Journal: Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek remains leading law firm in India business
Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek remains a "top international law firm for India-related work" in 2017. The India Business Law Journal, which annually recognizes law firms for their Indian business, selected the firm for the fifth time in a row. The award is based on an analysis of more than 600 law firms worldwide, which were assessed for their India-related work by the Indian trade magazine.
Featuring growth of 7.1 percent in the 2016/2017 budget year, India remains one of the world's fastest growing economies. The volume of foreign direct investment has risen sharply over the last few years, with a record high of USD 40 billion between April 2015 and March 2016. Just a few days ago, India introduced the nationwide Goods and Services Tax as part of a tax reform. It is an important milestone to create an Indian-wide single market and will further strengthen the Indian economy.
