Kapital 1852 accompanies remediation specialist COSAWA on continued expansion path: Financing by Sparkasse Hannover
With a Frankfurt-based team led by Partner Thomas K. Schrell, business law firm Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek advised Sparkasse Hannover on financing the acquisition of a majority stake in COSAWA Sanierung by Kapital 1852.
The Kapital 1852 SCS SICAV-SIF Equity Invest IV “MidCapPlus” fund, managed by investment company Kapital 1852 Beratungs GmbH, acquired a stake in COSAWA Sanierung GmbH. COSAWA is a leading service provider for the remediation of buildings contaminated with hazardous substances. Kapital 1852 is Bankhaus Lampe KG’s independent investment manager with a direct investment fund in private equity and funds of funds in venture capital and private debt. The direct investment strategy of Kapital 1852’s private equity division focuses on structuring and financing corporate successions, the acquisition of group companies, and the expansion financing of SMEs.
Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek comprehensively advised the lending financing institution on drafting, structuring, negotiating, and implementing of the entire financing documentation.
The credit lines have 6-year and 7-year terms. In addition to funding the acquisition of the stake, the financing is used for the group’s general working capital requirements and its planned further growth in the coming years.
