Refresco closes production site with Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek

Dr. Andreas Walle, Partner at the Hamburg office, and Dr. Volker Voth advised and represented Refresco Hamburg GmbH on the closure of its production facility in Hamburg. The plant is being closed due to its above-average cost base that made it uncompetitive in the market.
 
Upon the closure of the Hamburg production plant on May 31, 2018, the production and bottling of soft drinks and fruit juices in PET bottles will be transferred to another subsidiary’s facility in Calvörde. Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek supported Refresco in negotiating a reconciliation of interests and a social plan with the relevant employee representatives and successfully concluding it in November 2017.
