Sparkasse Hannover - Financing the acquisition of ARTUS group

With a Frankfurt-based team led by Partner Thomas K. Schrell, business law firm Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek, advised Sparkasse Hannover on financing the acquisition of a majority stake in ARTUS Gesellschaft für Brand- und Wasserschadensanierung mbH and ARTUS Projekt GmbH by Odewald KMU II.
 
Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek comprehensively supported Sparkasse Hannover in structuring, documenting, and negotiating the complex financing transaction. In addition to financing the acquisition of the company and the group’s working capital requirements, a non-committed acquisition credit facility has been structured to finance ARTUS group’s future growth. The parties have agreed not to disclose the amount of the financing volume.
 
ARTUS is a leading regional loss adjuster in the field of fire, water, and natural hazard losses as well as consequential losses with headquarters in Langenhagen near Hanover and a network of seven branches in Lower Saxony, Hamburg, Bremen, Berlin, and Leipzig. ARTUS was founded in 2012 and currently employs some 100 people.
