HEUKING appoints new Partners and Counsel
Effective January 1, 2025, HEUKING will welcome five Salaried Partners to its Equity Partnership. Additionally, two colleagues will be promoted to Senior Counsel, and nine Senior Associates will advance to the positions of Salaried Partner or Counsel.

The appointment of three new Counsel (two Senior Counsel and one Counsel) demonstrates the success and strong reception of our expanded career model, which introduced Counsel and Senior Counsel as additional career paths,” said Boris Dürr, Managing Partner at HEUKING.
The following lawyers will be admitted to Equity Partnership (in alphabetical order):
Dr. Christian Appelbaum (Düsseldorf) is a specialist in commercial and distribution law and, as a Certified Specialist Lawyer in Banking and Capital Markets Law, also advises on matters involving banking and finance law. He assists clients across the industry (especially the automotive supply industry), retail, logistics and tourism sector, offering guidance along the entire distribution chain including complex projects and transactions.
Christopher Görtz (Cologne) focuses on stock corporation and capital markets law, with particular expertise in corporate litigation, prospectus law, and electronic securities. He frequently handles cases with intricate structures, often navigating uncharted legal territory. Görtz is also a key member of HEUKING’s French Desk
Dr. Eva Kettner, LL.B. (Hamburg), Certified Specialist Lawyer in Employment and Labor Law, has been with HEUKING since 2013. She provides comprehensive advice for national and international clients on all aspects of employment law, with a particular focus on the port, aviation, and logistics sectors. Her expertise includes works constitution law and collective bargaining law.
Antje Münch, LL.M. (Stuttgart), is a Certified Specialist Lawyer in Intellectual Property Law. In addition to her expertise in IP law, particularly trademark and competition law, she also specializes in IT and data protection law. Antje Münch represents clients both in and out of court and frequently participates in multidisciplinary projects. She is an active member of the practice groups “IP, Media & Technology” and “ESG – Sustainable Management”.
Dr. Alexander Weiss (Munich) specializes in litigation, arbitration, and out-of-court dispute resolution, with a particular focus on complex corporate, commercial, and real estate disputes. He also advises on issues related to cryptocurrencies.
The following individuals will be appointed Senior Counsel as of January 1, 2025 (in alphabetical order):
Marcel Greubel (Munich) advises on M&A transactions, often with an international scope, representing both buyers and sellers. He also regularly advises on joint ventures and complex corporate law matters. Marcel Greubel regularly assists with contract drafting and negotiation and handles contentious disputes, particularly in corporate law and M&A transactions.
Veronika Straub (Stuttgart) specializes in real estate law with a focus on corporate real estate matters. She advises on real estate transactions and drafts complex civil law contracts relating to real estate. Additionally, Veronika Straub advises clients in the real estate sector on corporate law issues.
