HEUKING advises DATAGROUP on acquisition of cybersecurity specialist TARADOR

A HEUKING team led by Dr. Rainer Herschlein and Benedikt Raisch advised DATAGROUP SE on legal and tax matters relating to its acquisition of IT security specialist TARADOR. This acquisition enables DATAGROUP to strengthen its SME segment and enhance its expertise in the vital field of cybersecurity.

TARADOR GmbH is an IT security company focused on delivering tailored solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as public sector clients. Its services encompass the integration and maintenance of systems such as firewalls, VPNs, NAC, backup, encryption, and virus protection. The majority of TARADOR’s approximately 400 clients operate in critical infrastructure (KRITIS). The company currently generates annual revenue of around EUR 8 million.

DATAGROUP is one of Germany’s leading IT service providers, employing around 3,500 professionals across its locations nationwide. The company designs, implements, and manages IT infrastructures and business applications such as SAP.
