Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek continues to focus on digitization, adding IT and data protection law expert Hans Markus Wulf
Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek is reinforcing its Information Technology and Data Protection practices when IT and data protection lawyer Dr. Hans Markus Wulf (48) joins its Hamburg office as a salaried partner on July 1, 2018.
Wulf has been an equity partner at SKW Schwarz since 2015, where he had expanded the IT & Digital Business department at the Hamburg site since 2013. He has been working almost exclusively in the field of technology-related legal advice for more than 17 years and became one of Germany’s first certified specialist lawyers in IT law in September 2007. He has moved his advisory focus towards data protection law since 2016. He is a certified data protection auditor (TÜV) in accordance with EU GDPR rules and currently advises numerous listed companies on implementing the new EU General Data Protection Regulation.
Since 2015, Wulf has also been increasingly retained by his clients in the areas of digitization and Industry 4.0. In addition, he increased the number of his presentations, particularly on the topic of “Industry 4.0 in logistics.” At Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek's Hamburg office, he intends to further expand this advisory field and to support clients in digital transformation while also involving other legal departments.
The Hamburg peers at Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek are also looking forward to welcoming the new team member: “In Dr. Wulf, we have gained a very experienced and well-connected pioneer to increase our advice in the technology sector. He is a perfect fit with the team and will support the firm’s strategy of achieving a strong market position in digitization,” said Dr. Johan Schneider, who is heading the Hamburg office.
