Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek hosting patent infringement workshop
On April 26, 2016, the business law firm of Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek will host the workshop "Patent infringement: Hostile license offers – Patent trolls – EU patent" at its Hamburg office.
The three-hour workshop will address issues that affect many companies and that may become even more important due to imminent changes in law. It includes information on how dangerous the new EU patent and standard essential patents are, how to respond to license offers and threats and how to reasonably prepare for the increasing risks. An in-house lawyer will report on his practical experience with businesses, a U.S. attorney of the specific situation in the U.S., and experienced lawyers will present various case scenarios and experiences.
"The risk of being targeted by patent trolls and other patent holders is of very high relevance for companies," says Dr. Anton Horn, lawyer and IP law specialist at Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek. "This risk is expected to increase, not least because of the planned EU patent. The workshop therefore shows ways to establish meaningful risk management," Horn continued.
The workshop will be held at Neuer Wall 63 in Hamburg on April 26, 2016 from 5 to 8 pm. Register by April 19, 2016 here.
