Heuking employs NetzBeweis as another legal tech tool

Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek, a major business law firm with more than 400 lawyers, has been a user of NetzBeweis, a legal tech tool to preserve evidence, since April 1, 2023. Following a successful pilot phase, a number of lawyers specializing in competition law and trademark law now utilize it on a near-daily basis.

Dr. Anton Horn, Partner at Heuking, says the patent law department is also making use of the new tool: “We are using NetzBeweis to prepare for the evidence requirements at the new European Unified Patent Court where the standard screenshot will most likely no longer be sufficient.“

Heuking also uses NetzBeweis in cases of defensive publishing, which involves disclosing an invention to the public to ensure that no one else can patent it. The appropriate publication needs to be be proven, however, which is another field of application for NetzBeweis.
