Let’s start streaming: Heuking’s employment lawyers looking back at 2020
2020 turned out to be a year with a lot of new questions – including in employment law. The two fictional characters, Mr. Fuchs, a lawyer at Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek, and Ms. Winter, Head of Human Resources at a client’s company, discuss the year’s most important employment law topics in a video conference. There have been news about the 2019 CJEU ruling on the recording of working hours by Emden Labor Court relating to the documentation of working hours. Mr. Fuchs also comments on the questions of whether it is possible to hire additional staff during periods of short-time work and whether employees are entitled to work from a home office – two issues that have attracted the interest of many employers this year.
The Employment Law Practice Group consists of a team of more than 40 lawyers and certified specialists in employment law who advise national and international companies in all areas of employment law. In the middle of the year, the Practice Group, jointly with the Corporate/M&A Practice Group, had already published a video on executive board compensation under the Act Implementing the Second Shareholders’ Rights Directive.
