Advising Gerry’s Dnata on realising a new Air Cargo Center in Pakistan

The commercial law firm of Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek advises Gerry’s dnata on realizing its new import cargo center, in particular in connection with the procurement of a cargo handling equipment and systems.

The team led by Dr. Stephan Witteler, partner at the Frankfurt office, also advises the Pakistani company on the design and procurement of the material handling system, and the engineering, procurement and construction subproject. The planned new warehouse will cover an area of 70,000 square feet and will triple Gerry’s dnata’s tonnage handling capacity in Pakistan to more than 350,000 tonnes of cargo.

Gerry’s dnata is a joint venture between Gerry’s and dnata (part of the Emirates group) and the largest ground handler in Pakistan. The partnership commenced in 1993 and now provides the full suite of ground handling services to scheduled and non-scheduled airlines at seven airports across Pakistan including Karachi, Islamabad, Peshawar and Lahore.
