City train from Mainz to Wiesbaden is coming - Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek advises on the project
The state capitals of Mainz and Wiesbaden continue to advance the city train. In a first step, CityBahn GmbH was founded and is scheduled to plan and implement the project.
The city train is set to connect the cities of Wiesbaden, Mainz, and the district of Rheingau-Taunus, so that significantly more passengers will cross the Rhine by public transport. The first city trains are expected to operate from 2022 on.
The team led by Ute Jasper of the law firm of Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek advises on the project. The lawyers have already designed and implemented numerous major transportation projects, including the RRX in North Rhine-Westphalia and the regional rail transport competition in Baden-Württemberg. At present, they are advising on re-awarding Cologne’s suburban railway.
