Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek Expands Corporate/M&A Practice in Munich: Ulrich Jork from White&Case Will Become New Partner

Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek continues the expansion of its Munich office: As of September 1, 2010, Dr. Ulrich Jork, previously Local Partner at White&Case, will support the Corporate/M&A Practice in Munich. He will commence as Equity Partner in Munich and is accompanied by his long-time Associate, Marcel Greubel.

The new colleagues will focus on counseling German and international clients in M&A transactions and on the restructuring of mid-sized companies. In addition, Ulrich Jork has long-standing experience in corporate litigation.

In the last few months, the counseling of smaller and mid-sized companies has increased by such a degree that the Corporate/M&A team in Munich which is well established by now sees the demand for expanding the team consisting of currently nine lawyers. "Despite the well-known market situation since 2008, we have been able to increase the transaction business in Munich against the overall trend. The visibility of the Munich location considerably increased in the last few years so that the attractive transaction field could continuously be expanded. Particularly with a view to the international domain, we are therefore especially pleased about Dr. Jork joining us since we expect considerable synergies in this area," explains Dr. Mathias Schröder, LL.M., Corporate/M&A Partner in Munich.

In the last few months, Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek was able to attract several lawyers from large international law firms at various offices. "Our setup as internationally active law firm will thereby continue," Ulrike Gantenberg, one of the Managing Partners of the law firm is pleased to say.
