Heuking’s procurement law team supports Baden-Württemberg in major project – Karlsruhe networks awarded to DB Regio
DB Regio has been awarded the contract in the Europe-wide award procedure for transport services on the Karlsruhe networks (network 7b).
Starting in December 2022, the company will gradually commence operations and is expected to provide services on more than 11 million train kilometers annually by 2025. The contract also includes the procurement of new air-conditioned vehicles. Passengers will enjoy

The total volume is in excess of EUR 1 billion.
The order was divided into two lots. DB Regio prevailed in both lots against three competitors with the most economical offers.
