Private Debt Financing: acquisition of snack food service provider

With a Frankfurt-based team led by Partner Thomas K. Schrell, business law firm Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek advised HF Private Debt and Bright Capital on financing the acquisition of GCM Gastro Concept Management GmbH and Wurstteufel GmbH by United Curry Group, an investment company of DPK Deutsche Privatkapital. DPK is a medium-sized investment company with a focus on succession planning. The financing volume was not disclosed.

HF Private Debt Fonds, SCSp, and Bright Capital SME Debt Fund I provided debt financing to United Curry GmbH for the purpose of acquiring GCM Gastro Concept Management GmbH and Wurstteufel GmbH, two companies in the snack food sector. GCM and Wurstteufel offer curry sausages and other grilled specialties via franchising or the operation of own grill containers. United Curry GmbH aims to support the group’s sustainable successful growth.

HF Debt GmbH is the exclusive advisor to Luxemburg-based HF Private Debt Fonds, SCSp. The fund specializes in private debt financing for SMEs (EBITDA between EUR 2 million and EUR 10 million) and supports growth financing, succession solutions, and buy-outs by private equity investors. Geographically, it focuses on companies in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland with a long-standing history.

Bright Capital is a debt investor focusing on SMEs in the German-speaking region and invests in companies with a robust market position, proven strategies, stable cash flows, and experienced management teams. The investment strategy includes individual financing solutions along the entire capital structure.
