Dr. Philip Kempermann joins board of the Federal Association of Business Law Firms in Germany

Dr. Philip Kempermann, Managing Partner for IT and Data Protection at HEUKING, has been elected to the board of the Federal Association of Business Law Firms (BWD) in Germany. The BWD, established on March 29, 2022, now represents over 50 leading business law firms, with HEUKING proudly being one of its founding members.

The BWD is committed to promoting the professional, strategic, and forward-thinking interests of German business law firms. Its members collectively employ some 25,000 individuals, including over 6,000 lawyers. The association has launched several key initiatives, focusing on projects like cybersecurity and digital transformation, which are tackled through dedicated task forces involving member firms.

“I am honored to be elected to the BWD board,” said Dr. Philip Kempermann. “The intensive collaboration between member law firms has already contributed to enhancing the quality of client advisory services over the past two years. As a board member, I aim to ensure that business law firms continue to have a strong voice in Berlin on emerging and critical issues.”
