HAUG Kompressoren AG becoming new member of Sauer Compressors family with Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek
As part of its strategic development, Sauer Compressors Holding (J.P. Sauer & Sohn Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH, Kiel), supported by Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek's Hamburg-based M&A team led by Dr. Stefan Duhnkrack, acquired 100 percent of the shares in HAUG Holding AG including its subsidiaries, in particular HAUG Kompressoren AG, St. Gallen/Switzerland. The purchase price was not disclosed.
HAUG Kompressoren AG specializes in the development and manufacture of compressors in a range from 0.5 kW to 110 kW (state-of-the-art oil-free and gas-tight piston compressors for compressing air and a variety of gases) and employs a staff of about 40 at its St. Gallen site. Like Sauer Compressors, HAUG is a globally operating family-owned company and complements the established product range of oil-lubricated compressors by Sauer Compressors.
The HAUG brand will be kept after the acquisition. Beat Frefel, current general manager, will continue his work in management. Franck Lallart, general manager of Girodin-Sauer SAS, has been appointed general manager as well. The St. Gallen/Switzerland site will be expanded to act as a competence center for oil-free technology at Sauer Compressors.
