Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek advises Volksbank Rhein-Ruhr eG on acquiring the Alltours building at Duisburg Inner Harbor
A team led by real estate law experts Dr. Peter Vocke and Christoph Nöhles, LL.M., of Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek advised Volksbank Rhein-Ruhr eG when acquiring the Alltours building, constructed in 2001, at Duisburg Inner Harbor from Alltours Flugreisen GmbH. Following some renovation work on the building, Volksbank Rhein-Ruhr will open its head office at Duisburg Inner Harbor. The parties agreed not to disclose the purchase price. In 2013, Alltours Flugreisen GmbH had announced to relocate corporate headquarters from Duisburg to the state capital of Düsseldorf.
Volksbank Rhein-Ruhr eG, headquartered in Duisburg, ranks among North Rhine-Westphalia's largest cooperative banks with a balance sheet total in excess of EUR 1.3 billion. By relocating from the previous location to the 8,500 m²+ building at Inner Harbor, the cooperative bank can now concentrate its administration areas previously split between Duisburg and Oberhausen in one building.
For Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek, the advice to Volksbank Rhein-Ruhr eG means the further development of its expertise in advising banks and financial services institutions.
