Heuking supports insolvency administrator of insolvent ARWE companies
After the overall restructuring of ARWE Group, that was intended when the insolvency petition was filed, no longer appeared feasible, management withdrew its petitions for self-administration. Augsburg Insolvency Court consequently initiated insolvency proceedings with respect to ARWE Holding GmbH, arwe Automotive Service GmbH, arwe CarRental Service GmbH, and arwe Mobility Service GmbH in regular proceedings on May 1, 2020 and appointed Dr. Paul Abel, anchor Rechtsanwälte, as insolvency administrator.
The insolvency administrator is now attempting to save parts of the business and jobs. A team led by Dr. Stefan Proske, Lawyer and Partner at Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek, had already advised ARWE Group on filing for insolvency and on provisional self-administration and is now supporting the insolvency administrator.
CAR24 GmbH and ARWE Group’s European (non-German) subsidiaries are not insolvent and are able to continue their operations.
ARWE Group is a central mobility service provider. The company’s services range from professional vehicle preparation and maintenance to repairs, vehicle logistics, and turnaround management. The company also offers car sharing and car rental services. ARWE operates in England, France, Spain, Germany, and Austria.
