Isabella Sommer-Zhang is an experienced European patent attorney who advises clients in the field of electrical engineering, software and AI patents. She develops patent strategies and manages patent prosecution before the European Patent Office (EPO) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). In 2025, she was named by Best Lawyers in the "Ones to Watch" category. In addition to her work as a patent attorney, she regularly gives lectures on AI in patent law, such as "Patent protection of AI tools – in practice" at the Osnabrück Patent Days 2023.
