HEUKING advises Bochum-based early-stage MedTech startup on seed funding round
SkinLove Ruhr GmbH, an innovative MedTech startup based in Bochum, successfully secured a mid-six-figure investment in its seed funding round. The funds will be used to advance product development and facilitate the market launch of its groundbreaking skin health solutions.
Founded in 2023 by Dr. Friederike Kogelheide, SkinLove Ruhr GmbH focuses on pioneering cold plasma technology to effectively address various skin conditions. The company’s mission is to revolutionize skincare by replacing numerous conventional cosmetic products with its self-developed, German-made device. This cutting-edge technology offers an innovative and sustainable alternative, designed to significantly enhance users’ skin health.
SkinLove Ruhr recently completed the Batch #1 accelerator program with our partner HIGH-TECH.NRW and successfully launched its product to market. The capital raised from the seed funding round will primarily be allocated toward further development of its cold plasma technology and scaling up for a broader market launch. Additionally, SkinLove Ruhr aims to expand its production capacity and build strategic partnerships within the health and cosmetics industries.
A team led by Dr. Patrick Müller, Partner at HEUKING’s Düsseldorf office legally advised on the seed funding round, supported by Dr. Henrik Lay and Caroline Frohnwieser from the Hamburg office, and Philipp Börger from the Berlin office.
