HEUKING advises start-up Ningaloo Biosystems on financing round

A team led by HEUKING Partner Dr. Patrick Müller, LL.M. and Mark Rossbroich, LL.M. provided comprehensive legal advice to the Cologne-based BioTech Ningaloo Biosystems on its recent financing round.

The capital provided by new and existing investors will be used to support the development of bioproduction process solutions suitable for pre-clinical and early clinical phases.

Ningaloo Biosystems GmbH was founded in Cologne in 2020 and is pioneering the advancement of biopharmaceutical production by engineering host cells for real-time process control through optogenetics. This approach offers advantages for the production of complex proteins and gene therapeutics through cyber-bioprocessing, reducing the cost of the process and expanding access to innovative treatments.
