Wagner Fernmeldebau Holding GmbH acquires majority stake in Benzina Kommunikation GmbH
With a team led by Partner Dr. Rainer Herschlein, Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek advised Wagner Fernmeldebau Holding GmbH on the acquisition of a majority stake in Benzina Kommunikation GmbH of Freiburg. The seller’s sole shareholder and general manager is M. Benzina who will remain with the company even after closing of the transaction. The company name will also remain unchanged.
As part of a buy-and-build strategy, Wagner group is currently forming a full-service provider for fiber optic infrastructure construction. With the acquisition, Wagner group continues to expand its range of services allowing it to use a general contractor approach to implement comprehensive projects in the FTTX sector in the future. Benzina Kommunikation GmbH complements the group’s existing service portfolio with all communication and network technology services.
Benzina Kommunikation GmbH was founded by M. Benzina in 1999 and has been owner-managed ever since. The company implements needs-based solutions in communications and network technology, building and lighting technology, and electromobility infrastructure for municipal institutions, companies, and public-sector clients.
Based in Waldböckelheim near Bad Kreuznach, Wagner GmbH is a Preferred Partner of Deutsche Telekom AG in the FTTC/FTTB/FTTH expansion in Germany. Peter Wagner founded Wagner GmbH in 2006 and has managed the company since then.
