Bezirksmolkerei Ansbach acquires stake in Omira assisted by Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek
District dairy Bezirksmolkerei Ansbach (Bema) acquired a stake of just over eight percent in Omira Oberland-Milchverwertung GmbH. Dr. Rainer Herschlein, LL.M., partner at the commercial law firm of Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek in Stuttgart, advised Bema comprehensively. Since June 2015, the district dairy has been a full member of Omira.
Bema and Omira have already cooperated in milk marketing as part of a cooperation agreement since 2012. Bema's 251 milk suppliers contribute just over eight percent of the milk processed by Omira in the Ravensburg and Neuburg an der Donau works.
Bezirksmolkerei Ansbach e. G. was founded in 1935. Jürgen Schwab is Chairman of the cooperative-owned company with almost 400 members.
OMIRA Oberland Milchverwertung GmbH was established in 1929. Some 3,000 milk producers from the Lake Constance, Black Forest, and Franconia regions cooperate in Omira group. The company employs over 600.
