Heuking advises apheris AI GmbH on its EUR 8.7 million seed extension round
A team led by Ariane Neubauer, Partner at Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek’s Berlin office, comprehensively advised apheris AI GmbH (Apheris) on closing its EUR 8.7 million seed extension round led by Octopus Ventures.
New investors also include European HealthTech investment specialists Heal Capital, Berthold von Freyberg (Target Partners co-founder), and Mirko Novakovic (Instana founder). Additional funding was also provided by existing investors LocalGlobe, Dig Ventures, another.vc, and Patrick Pichette (former Google CFO).
Berlin-based startup Apheris offers a platform for collaborative data ecosystems. It enable multiple organizations to connect securely and to extract value from each other’s decentralized data sets in a way that helps them overcome regulatory, technical, and commercial challenges. Data never moves from the owner’s secure environment as the platform allows all parties to have complete control over data governance, which ensures security, privacy, and IP protection.
Founded in 2019 by Robin Röhm and Michael Höh, Apheris has a team of more than 30 best-in-class specialists.
Apheris intends to use the funds to further develop its collaborative data ecosystem platform to help connect data science and AI across organizational boundaries.
