Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek advises Austrian bus company Blaguss on strategic cooperation with FlixBus
The team led by Dr. Anne de Boer advised bus operator Blaguss on the cooperation agreement with FlixBus with regard to Eastern Europe and on establishing the joint subsidiary FlixBus CEE.
Blaguss has been offering tours from Austria to Eastern Europe since the 1970s and has been a bus partner in the FlixBus network since 2014. Since the beginning of 2016, it has added routes to six countries in Central & Eastern Europe (CEE) as part of the FlixBus network. Blaguss will now sell its international routes through FlixBus, while FlixBus extends its offering to Eastern Europe as part of this strategic cooperation. Since the company does not have its own buses, FlixBus acts as a platform. In addition to existing connections from Austria and northern Italy to Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, and Slovakia, joint new routes will now be taken up as well.
