Joint venture led by Aquila Capital sells solar park developer in Greece with Heuking
A team led by Christoph Prochnau and Dr. Michael Dröge from the Hamburg office legally advised solar-konzept International GmbH, a joint venture co-founded by Aquila Capital, comprehensively on the sale of solar park developer Solar Konzept Greece (SKGR) to Italian energy group Eni.
In addition to Aquila Capital, a group of operating shareholders are also invested in the joint venture, including solar-konzept International GmbH’s general managers Nikolaus von Einem and Christoph Schmitt.
The acquisition of SKGR marks Eni’s entry into the Greek photovoltaic market. SKGR’s portfolio includes a pipeline of projects, totaling around 800MW.
On behalf of the seller, the transaction was managed by Dr. Matthias von Neumann-Cosel, Aquila Head of International M&A. The Greek part of the transaction was advised by law firm Ioannis Vassardanis & Partners in coordination with Heuking.
