TRUMPF Hüttinger takes over HBH Microwave GmbH with Heuking
A team led by Dr. Hermann Ali Hinderer advised high-tech company TRUMPF Hüttinger, a member of Ditzingen-based TRUMPF Group, on the acquisition of HBH Microwave GmbH. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
TRUMPF Hüttinger will thus expand its technology portfolio with semiconductor-based solid-state microwave generators. The generators are used in industrial applications such as plasma generation, industrial heating, communication, or radar technologies. Particle accelerators for research, medicine, and industry are also an important future-oriented business field, which TRUMPF Hüttinger will be strengthening with this acquisition.
TRUMPF was founded in 1923 as a mechanical workshop and has developed into one of the world’s leading companies for machine tools, laser technology, and electronics for industrial applications. In fiscal 2018/19, the company, headquartered in Ditzingen, generated sales of EUR 3,784 million with 14,490 employees.
HBH Microwave, based in Stutensee near Karlsruhe, was founded in 1999 and employs about 50 people.
