AMPAREX sells shares in FLEX Capital with Heuking
A team led by Dr. Rainer Herschlein and Dr. Emanuel Teichmann legally advised the shareholders of AMPAREX, market leader in software for audiologists, on the sale of all their shares to Berlin-based investment firm FLEX Capital. AMPAREX will merge with IPRO, market leader in software for opticians, into a software group for “other service providers” in the healthcare sector so that the customers of the two software companies will benefit from each other’s strengths in the future.
The group under the umbrella of new owner FLEX Capital will focus on modern cloud solutions that will replace the traditional usage and licensing models for server-based systems. It is particularly in complex industries such as audiology and ophthalmic optics, with their numerous market participants in all kinds of organizations, that the cloud offers a unique opportunity for efficient leveraging of optimization potential.
AMPAREX was founded in 1995 as an IT consulting company and counts several large corporations among its customers. Since 2005, the company, based in Leinfelden-Echterdingen, has been offering the AMPAREX cloud solution for healthcare providers. Its customers include opticians, audiologists, and therapists from 16 countries. AMPAREX currently has 54 permanent employees.
FLEX Capital is a private equity fund that invests in profitable and growing mid-sized companies in the German internet and software sectors.
