HEUKING advises KI group on the sale of xgeeks to Maxburg

A HEUKING team, led by Hamburg-based Partner Dr. Peter Christian Schmidt, provided comprehensively advised advisory services to KI group GmbH on legal and tax matters relating to its sale of xgeeks GmbH to Synvert, a portfolio company under the Maxburg Capital III fund, managed by Maxburg Capital Partners.

Cologne-based KI group GmbH unites entrepreneurs and software developers under one roof, focusing on the tech and startup sectors. With a team of around 300 employees from 30 different nations, KI group specializes in supporting startups, facilitating angel investments, and developing digital solutions all the way through to the creation of fully-fledged companies. The group operates offices in Germany, Portugal, and Switzerland.

Xgeeks, a subsidiary of KI group, is a provider of cloud-native software engineering services based in Portugal.
