Heuking advises Radeberger Fleisch- und Wurstwaren Korch GmbH shareholder on sale of shares to Rieker Finanz group
A team led by Stuttgart-based Partner Dr. Rainer Herschlein legally advised managing majority shareholder Felix Alber on the sale of his shares in Radeberger Fleisch- und Wurstwaren Korch GmbH to Rieker Finanz group. Felix Alber will retain 40% of the shares and will continue to be responsible for the operational business as General Manager of Radeberger Fleisch- und Wurstwaren Korch GmbH. The transaction is subject to the approval of the German Federal Cartel Office.
With some 400 employees, Radeberger Fleisch- und Wurstwaren Korch GmbH produces and sells meats and sausages, in particular under the renowned “Original Radeberger” brand. The meats and sausages are sold directly to consumers via food and grocery retailers and 18 of the company’s own branches. Radeberger Fleisch- und Wurstwaren Korch GmbH has enjoyed a successful development in recent years. The company has been able to dynamically embrace and benefit from the market trends towards regional production and high-quality products. Jointly with Rieker, this strategy will be continued in the coming years.
Rieker Investment GmbH is a member of Rieker Finanz group, an independent unit of Rieker group, which also includes shoe manufacturer Rieker Schuh. Rieker Finanz group is a long-term investor in SMEs across various sectors. The investments are managed independently by the existing management boards.
Heuking had previously been retained in connection with Radeberger Fleisch- und Wurstwaren Korch GmbH when Herschlein and his team advised Felix Alber on his investment in the meat and sausage company. Subsequently, Heuking also advised Felix Alber on the sale of his shares to WMS Wachstumsfonds Mittelstand Sachsen. In addition, Heuking legally advises Felix Alber comprehensively on various other investments.
