Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek advises HAHN Automation on participation by RAG-Stiftung
At the end of September, RAG-Stiftung acquired a 51 percent stake in automation specialist HAHN Automation GmbH, headquartered at Rheinböllen in Rhineland-Palatinate. The company was advised on the sale by commercial law firm Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek with a team led by Frankfurt-based partner Adi Seffer. The sales contract was signed on September 25. Closing will take place in December. The purchase price was not disclosed.
The majority interest in HAHN Automation is taken out via RAG-Stiftung Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH. The holding company had been established in April 2014 with the objective of acquiring qualified minority or majority interests in specialized medium-sized mechanical engineering, automation, and industrial service companies on behalf of RAG-Stiftung.
HAHN Automation is a specialized machine builder developing innovative solutions for the automation of production processes. The company employs about 500 at 13 locations.
