Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek advises M7 Group on reorganization of German business
With a team led by Düsseldorf-based partners Michael Schmittmann and Dr. Martin Imhof, Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek advised M7 Group, Luxemburg, on reorganizing its business in Germany. The advice focused on the merger of the German operating company with a Luxemburg-based company of M7 Group.
Following the acquisition of the Kabelkiosk platform from French satellite operator Eutelsat in 2014, M7 Group reorganized its business in Germany. First, it outsourced its technology and services sector as well as marketing, including the employees, to newly established German subsidiaries and third-party companies. Then, the operative business was transferred to the Luxemburg parent company by way of cross-border merger. Upon completion of the reorganization, M7 Group is in an excellent position as full-service provider of entertainment and communications services for the European market. The Düsseldorf-based Heuking team had already provided legal support on M7 Group’s acquisition from Eutelsat.
M7 Group is a European provider of satellite services in the television and media industry. The company supplies more than three million residential and business customers with digital national and international TV, radio channels, and offers internet and VOIP services in the Netherlands and Belgium. In Germany, M7 Group operates an independent digital program and service platform for cable and IP-TV.
