A team led by private equity lawyer Dr. Andreas Lenz, Partner at the Cologne office, advised the shareholders of medtech company Acti-Med AG on the sale of all shares to an acquisition vehicle of private equity investor Gilde Healthcare.
Acti-Med AG was founded in 1997 and is headquartered in Freiensteinau. Acti-Med manufactures and develops tailor-made cannulas and cannula systems for pharmaceutical and medical applications, jointly developed with international OEMs and is one of the world’s leading suppliers in this field. Acti-Med operates a wholly owned subsidiary in Kozerkí (Poland).
Gilde Healthcare is a leading international investor in healthcare and pharmaceuticals, managing over EUR 1.4 billion across two fund strategies, Private Equity and Venture & Growth Capital. The Private Equity fund invests in profitable European lower mid-market healthcare companies with a prime focus on the Benelux and DACH regions. It targets healthcare providers, suppliers of medical products, and service providers in the healthcare market. The Venture & Growth Capital fund invests in medtech, healthtech, and therapeutics.
