Jungheinrich AG: Acquisition of MIAS Group completed with Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek
The acquisition of MIAS Group by Jungheinrich AG was completed on October 1, 2015. Following the approval by the German Federal Cartel Office and the Austrian competition authorities, Jungheinrich expands its leading position as a provider of logistics systems.
The acquisition of the group with locations in Germany, Hungary, China, the U.S. and Italy, in which the buyer was advised by Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek, led by Hamburg-based partner Dr. Stefan Duhnkrack, is a further step in implementing Jungheinrich group’s growth strategy and a step towards global expansion of the rapidly expanding logistics systems business. With the acquisition of MIAS Group, Jungheinrich expands its technology portfolio in the field of automated warehouse solutions.

Munich-headquartered MIAS Group is an intralogistics equipment manufacturer in the field of warehousing and transportation technology. It is world market leader in telescopic tables for pallets and specializes in stacker crane and load handling technology products. In fiscal 2014, the group generated revenue of some 40 million euros with more than 300 employees. MIAS Group’s current management board with Wolfgang Büttner and Dr. Johannes Fottner will continue to run the company after the acquisition by Jungheinrich.
