Automotive Rentals takes over HPI Fleet with support of Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek

Vehicle fleet service provider Automotive Rentals (AIR) acquired the business of HPI Fleet GmbH & Co. KG, in self-administration as part of insolvency proceedings, and HPI Fleet & Mobility GmbH as well as the pertinent key European departments in an asset deal at the end of October. A team led by Dr. Jörg aus der Fünten, partner at commercial law firm Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek, advised AIR on the acquisition comprehensively and in particular also coordinated the acquisition of the foreign business units.

ARI Investment Holdings, LLC, part of U.S.-based Holman Automotive Group, employs a workforce of more than 2,400, including in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Europe. It manages more than 952,000 fleet vehicles worldwide.

Only in August of this year, AIR had started its expansion into the German market with the acquisition of Fleetlevel+. A team led by aus der Fünten had advised the U.S. company on that transaction as well.
